EDI Rent A Car are a British family run business based in El Campello about 20 minutes north of Alicante Airport. All of the staff are English speaking as well as fluent in Spanish. They needed a modern website that allowed potential clients to obtain a quote based on their pricing system, as well as the capability to have the site presented in multiple languages.
Client Needs
Our client, a car rental business operating in the Alicante and Asturias areas of Spain, required a new website that was modern, simple to manage, and capable of supporting multiple languages beyond English and Spanish.
A crucial feature was the inclusion of a bespoke quoting system to allow their clients to obtain real-time prices for rentals based on live pricing data for any given time period.
Our Approach
We started by creating wireframes to ensure the design met the client’s needs and expectations. Upon approval, we moved on to the development phase, utilising a combination of PHP and JavaScript, with the Bootstrap CSS framework and jQuery, to build a robust and dynamic website.
The project source code was managed with Git, ensuring version control and collaboration efficiency. The bespoke quoting system was developed to accurately provide rental quotes based on user inputs and live data, ensuring precise and up-to-date pricing.
Outcome
The result is a beautiful, modern website that fulfills all the client’s requirements. It features a user-friendly quoting system that delivers accurate pricing information, is mobile-friendly, and optimised for performance using script aggregators.
The website is easy to manage through the CMS, thanks to Advanced Custom Fields Pro, and supports additional languages with a premium version of Gtranslate for neural-based translations. The client can now effortlessly add new languages, making the site accessible to a broader audience.
